About Incunabula

Incunabula is a small social network for people who read. Review books, rate them out of five, tag them with what they're actually like — genre, mood, pace, length, readability — and collect them into lists. Your feed is built from the tags you say you care about.

The name

An incunabulum (plural incunabula) is a book printed in Europe before 1501, in the first half-century of movable type. It comes from the Latin for swaddling clothes or cradle: the infancy of printing, when nobody yet knew what a book was going to become.

How the feed works

Pick interests on your profile. Every review and list carries tags; reviews also inherit the tags other readers have applied to the same book. Items that match more of your interests rank higher, with a gentle preference for recent posts. Switch to Latest to see everything in order.
